Process

How a design job works

A written quote, a first design, your markups and final files, with nothing billed beyond what you agreed.

1. Brief and quote

You send what the piece is for, where it will be used, the words, your logo and your deadline. We check for gaps, such as a missing printer spec or an offer without an end date, and send a written quote that lists each piece, each size, the revision rounds and the delivery date. Nothing starts until you accept it.

2. First design

We send a first design as a PDF or image you can view on any device. For a set, such as a flyer plus matching posts, we usually design the main piece first so you can approve the look before we adapt it.

3. Markups and revisions

You mark up the design with comments: a different photo, a bigger phone number, a color you'd like to try. We apply the changes and send a revised version. The quote states how many rounds are included, and any extra round is priced before we do it.

4. Final files

Once you approve, we prepare the final files for where they're going and run a last check on spelling, phone numbers, web addresses and dates. Please check those too: a wrong digit on a printed flyer is expensive to fix.
